Would you agree that Parenting and worrying seem to go hand in hand?
From the moment your child is born you worry about how much they eat and how well they sleep. As they get older you may worry about what they eat. Too much sugar? Not enough greens? And what do you do about technology? How much time is too much time spent on smart phones and tablets? Are they getting enough exercise? Would you agree that you spend a large part of your time trying to make sure your child has a HEALTHY BODY.
And another big worry is their education! From the moment they are born you have to start considering which school they will go to. Who will you trust to help your child learn to read and write and do mathematics? Who will you trust to help your child develop a curious mind and a love of learning? Yes as Parents you also spend a great deal of your time focused on how to ensure that your child has a HEALTHY MIND.
So how do we nurture a HEALTHY SOUL?
In theory we are each made up of Mind, Body and Soul. In the past the Soul was taken care of by religious teachings but with less and less Parents practicing a specific religion does that mean your child’s SOUL is being forgotten or overlooked? How can you ensure that your child has a HEALTHY SOUL?
As I am sharing my thoughts with you about the importance of nurturing the Soul a few activities come to mind that I know are good for my Soul….
- walking my dogs through open countryside
- singing and dancing
- seeing a rainbow
- spending time with my horses
- hugging a tree ( don’t question it until you have tried it!!)
- spending time with like minded people
- reading a spiritual book such as Conversations with God.
As you can see many of my activities involve being connected to nature and whilst children often cannot appreciate the beauty of a ‘view’ or the need to find one, Mother Nature has an uncanny way of feeding their Souls every time they spend time with her. Going for a walk, playing outside, camping under the stars, swimming in the sea, there are so many outdoor activities that you can share with your children that will create happy memories and at the same time feed their souls.
Archangel Michael advises…
“Be gentle with your children. Treat them with gentle nurturing love in everything they think, say or do. Let them know they deserve your compassion so that they may release all feelings of guilt and experience lasting Inner Peace”
There is the key. A HEALTHY SOUL feels Inner Peace. As adults we spend most of our lives chasing Inner Peace, which of course is not the way to find it! How wonderful would it be if we can nurture the next generation so that maintaining Inner Peace is their guide for experiencing life?
